Applying For Aid

Our General Secretariat annually screens about 8,000 aid applications from around the world. Our head office maintains contact with project partners in more than 140 countries, ensuring the appropriate use of donations.

Aid to the Church in Need does not provide assistance for social projects in the community. The projects must be pastoral in nature and a request must have the explicit written approval of the local bishop (in the case of diocesan and parish projects) or religious superior (if the project is fully internal to the religious congregation) stating that it is a priority for the diocese or the congregation.
